Be BLONDE not Brassy

July 30, 2015

Pravana Pure Light Brightening Shampoo

All of the blondes know that brass seems to creep into our hair in between highlights, and it sucks! No one wants brassy blonde that looks like pee hair (sorry, but its true). If you still don’t know what I mean by brassy, google brassy blonde and check out those google images :o. I’m going to tell you my secret to staying BLONDE not brassy! Drum roll…… Pravana Pure Light Sulfate Free Brightening Shampoo!

I’ve tried a lot of purple shampoos, but this is by far the best one I’ve ever used. It’s so good that you can only use it once a week at the very most because it is so pigmented it could actually tint your hair purple.

I’ve been using it once a week since my last hair appointment, which was about 6 weeks ago. It has been keeping the brass away like no other, and it also makes my blonde look super bright (hence the name “Brightening Shampoo”). My hair stylist saw a few recent pictures, and even messaged me to see how my hair had stayed so bright. I wish I could take a before and after for y’all, but my hair has no brass in it from weekly use of this amazing shampoo. I usually lather this into my hair, let it sit for a few minutes, and rinse away to see your brightest blonde ever.

Here’s some recent pictures, so you can see how bright my hair is 6 weeks after my last highlights.

Super bright blondes beware, don’t overuse this stuff because it will give your hair a purple tint. Start off slowly, not letting it sit in your hair for too long. Possibly use it every two weeks at first until you see how your hair reacts (and watch your brass disappear). Comment below if you have used this shampoo before! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
